A Sunday Afternoon Visit

While Grandpa was in California, he had a special visit from a special person. His eldest granddaughter came over for lunch on Sunday afternoon.

It was a wonderful afternoon for everyone. After lunch, we went for a brisk walk around the neighborhood. We picked guava fruit right from the tree. We peaked inside an open house and marvelled at all the fun and fancy features. And simply enjoyed each other's company.

After the walk, we enjoyed a warm cup of tea with a delicious coffeecake. Our visiting eventually carried us into the living room by the Christmas tree. Stories and laughter filled the room. Dennis pulled out the Christmas handbells and we practiced playing Christmas carols. Together we revised and modified the song to find the perfect version. We took pictures. Laughed some more. Gave hugs. And cherished each moment we had together as family.
